Ive updated the dry stone walling page with some of the walling Ive done over the winter (not the best time for walling!!) Ive been busy with hedgelaying too. Most of the winter work was above Todmorden/Cornholme – very beautiful but a bit bleak in the sideways rain and hail.
Having finaly repaired my camera I will be updating the site over the next week or so (particularly some more recent hedge-laying and more dry stone walling) but for now below are some images of a set of steps I was commissioned to make:
Its oak (photo taken in the rain!!) including the bannister rail. All felled in Calderdale
I’ve added some new images to the site. Recent commissions include 2 wedding arches, a log store and three gates. I’ve been busy hedge laying – picture shows 28ms of hedge layed in Lancashire & Westmoreland style (stakes every 3ft) Its a style that means the hedge is stock proof (its a sheep hedge) straight away. In this one I only had to add in one piece of brash (at the very end).
I’ve just started a big walling job too – various repairs (gapping up) rebuilds etc.
